the cocoon it was sitting on when I found it
there was another cocoon a few feet away on the same bush, still occupied
the next day this cocoon was gone but the second one was still hanging, still occupied
here is a picture of the second, occupied, cocoon (1)
(both cocoons were dangling free and not completely attached to the twig on one side like some other pictures here show)
