Info.
Yes, these are larder beetles. They typically infest dried, cured meats, and old animal carcasses. The larvae are the stage at which they are most destructive. Tell your friend he needs to bury the body:-) I'm kidding, of course. Simply find the infested product (pet food, perhaps), and discard it. Store all similar, remaining foodstuffs in glass or metal containers with tight-fitting lids.
