Moth - Psychomorpha epimenis

Moth - Psychomorpha epimenis
Cross Plains, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
May 2, 2007
Photographed this small butt*erfly from a distance because it was very skittish and thus didn't get a good photo. But can it be identified from the coloration?

Not butterfly:-)
Not everything gaudy is a butterfly. This is a moth, specifically the "grapevine epimenis," a common early spring, day-flying moth in the eastern U.S.

Thanks.
This explains why I was unable to find it by looking at the butterfly photos!
