Wasp on copper wire - Polistes annularis - Female

Size: About 30MM long
I'd like to contribute, but I'm no naturalist and have no idea where to put most of the stuff I take pictures of. Can someone identify this wasp for me?
The picture was taken on an unseasonably cold day, and I found it on a copper wire in my shop. These are common around here.

Yep, you can move them.
Check the Help tab for details. (I wasn't sure what you meant by mods, but if you don't move your post, eventually an editor will. But they have lots of other things to do.

Paper wasp.
This is a female paper wasp, Polistes annularis. Nice shots! We don't have many images of this species, so feel free to fire away:-)
