Very
nice. A large female audax.
Specimens from TX and certain areas of FL and GA are often the largest audax to be found.

 
how big is it?
I just found a large one, I am sure not as large as I live in NH, but lovely just the same. Trying to figure out how to get a good closeup photo :-/

 
Measuring
I really need to start carrying with me a method of measuring the critters I photograph.

 
doesn't have to be exact...
;-) just looking for approximate as I do not know how large the jumpers can get. Someone on a recent forum referred to them as small tarantulas - I am assuming this was an exaggeration unless they were referring to s'lings. The one I just found is about 1/2" (body) and is about the largest I have seen here

to 20mm body length (does not include legspan) is large for an audax.
