Cockroach
Thanks, we have frequent cockroach sightings this year, don't know why. No garbage outside. What do they eat? What attracts them? Have none in the house, just outside. Thanks again. Travis.

 
Well..
If they are Parcoblatta americana, then you wouldn't see them inside, these guys only live outdoors. They eat decaying organic material, such as dead leaves, rotten wood, dead animal matter, etc. They just happen to live where you live, just outside.

 
However..
If they are Blatta orientalis, then they are likely coming from the sewer, or any other dark, damp place. These are not house pests, but they can sometimes find their way inside by accident, and usually are found and killed by the house owners.

Yes, though what species, I'm not sure.
Perhaps Parcoblatta americana?
