Imperial Moth - Egg to Caterpillar Sequence - Eacles imperialis

Imperial Moth - Egg to Caterpillar Sequence - Eacles imperialis
Duluth, Fulton County, Georgia, USA
August 21, 2004
It's now five days or so since hatching and I've moved him outside to the sweetgum and wrapped the branch in hardware cloth. The horns, once completely black, have developed lighter bases and the abdominal striping is less distinct.
