Imperial Moth - Egg to Caterpillar Sequence - Eacles imperialis

Imperial Moth - Egg to Caterpillar Sequence - Eacles imperialis
Duluth, Fulton County, Georgia, USA
August 27, 2004
Eleven days since hatching and he again appears to have changed somewhat in appearance. He's noticably bigger, the horns are reduced with only black tips, and he's fuzzier. The spiracles are also clearly defined now. It was at this stage that I realized it was an imperial moth caterpillar.
