Which wasp?

Which wasp?
Herring Run Park, Baltimore City County, Maryland, USA
May 6, 2007

Moved
Moved from Wasps.

Wasp is right.
This is probably a tiphiid wasp, family Tiphiidae, and probably in the genus Tiphia:-) Hard to be conclusive from just one image, but that is my best guess. Probably a male, also.

Maybe a bee?
Just a guess: Lasioglossum
