dark bagworm moth - Cryptothelea

dark bagworm moth - Cryptothelea
Islamorada, Monroe County, Florida, USA
March 27, 2007
Size: wing length 7-8 mm
On wall of store at night. I'm guessing it's either Cryptothelea nigrita or C. gloverii. Both are shown at MPG but I don't know what distinguishes them.

In the pest control industry, C. gloverii is called OBW (orange bagworm) because the larvae feed on orange and grapefruit leaves, and also on the Citrus Rust Mite (Phyllocoptruta oleivora) which damages fruit.
