Small-Eyed Sphinx Moth - Paonias myops

Small-Eyed Sphinx Moth - Paonias myops
Norris City, White County, Illinois, USA
May 7, 2007
Size: Approx. 1.5 in. long
This moth had the strangest shaped wings I've ever seen on one. As it sat for the image, it was at least 2.25 inches wide at the wings.

Photographed with fill-flash.
