P. insignarius
What is the typical habitat of Phidippus insignarius? I have found both the male and female in an old gravel pit pond area, among vegetation low to the ground--near pond edges.

Hi Eileen
Edwards (2004) says "a species of open woodland understo- ry (oak-hickory, oak savannah, sand dune scrub) and prairie, with one record from a bog."
