Those two dots on the scutellum look like a convincing imitation of a jumping spider's eyes!

Only problem:
they're visible only in full sun. These flies have a sulcate (with groove) scutellum, the two lateral parts being highly convex and smooth, thus reflecting sunlight (or other).
