Moved from Undescribed species on Scutellaria.

After reviewing all the relevant specimens, Owen now says this is C. menthae!

Calycomyza michiganensis
Owen has now determined that this and the Hedeoma miner are actually C. michiganensis--which is only known from Michigan and hasn't been reared before. A fly I reared in MA from Asteraceae turned out to be the true C. novascotiensis.

Despite the comment above,
we're back to the Scutellaria miner being C. novascotiensis, the Asteraceae miner being C. michiganensis, and the Hedeoma miner being C. menthae. All extremely similar species, and as I commented elsewhere, more reared males from Scutellaria (and any other Lamiaceae) would probably help Owen to make sense of this group.

Moved from Serpentine mines on Scutellaria integrifolia, becoming blotches.

Owen Lonsdale says there are slight differences in the genitalia between these flies and Calycomyza novascotiensis (known previously only from Nova Scotia; host unknown), but he's not sure if they're significant.
