Scarab beetle on viburnum nudum flower - Trichiotinus piger

Scarab beetle on viburnum nudum flower - Trichiotinus piger
Sykesville, Howard County, Maryland, USA
June 13, 2015
Size: the size of a June beetle
This beetle on a viburnum nudum flower is very covered in pollen, and because he is so furry, I thought maybe he was a bumblebee scarab beetle. However, he has some distinctive lines on his wings. I got a few different angles and am hoping that will help wiht the I.D. It seems there are many similar species?
