Fly - Dolerus

Fly - Dolerus
47.630591N 52.687662W (WGS84), Logy Bay, Northeast Avalon, Newfoundland/Labrador, Canada
May 9, 2007
Size: 10 mm Head to wing tips
I found this fly on our concrete driveway about 2:00 PM. The temperature was 18.3 Celsius and sunny. The fly seemed to be ill or wounded and could not fly. I took this photograph on the driveway and then moved it to a piece of blue plastic for the other two photos. Any ID?

It's not a fly...
it's a SAWfly! It's actually in the order Hymenoptera, suborder Symphyta. No fly has two pairs of wings and the other whole body photo shows that. I might be able to get back to you on a family, unless someone who know sawflies better than I beats me to it.

Tenthredinidae.
The common sawflies, Tenthredinidae, is the most likely family. No characters disputing that seem visible here.
