Size: 2-3mm
These tiny mites were crawling around in the sand along the edge of a stream. Is anyone able to help narrow down an ID? Microtrombidiidae?

These belong to the family Trombidiidae.

Small as they are, only immature mites have less than 8 legs (they have 6), therefore these are full grown.
