Elongate-bodied Springtail - Tomocerus minor

Elongate-bodied Springtail - Tomocerus minor
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
May 10, 2007
Size: 6mm
I think that this is T. minor, because of the bluish color (not really visible in the photo) and the length of the antennae...found under a piece of bark underneath my cherry tree.

Moved from Tomocerus minor.

Could be.
If the color is silverish it is Pogonognathellus flavescens.
But there is more... Both antennae lack the short apical segment, typical for Tomoceridae. So, the antennae could be broken and therefore much longer...

BTW, note the small Lepidocyrtus sp. specimen in the background.

It was very lavender.
I'll try to get better pictures today. This one was a little back-lit, so the color is off.

Tomocerus minor
Given the specimen is of the same population as the more recent ones.
