Three-banded Crab Spider - Xysticus

Three-banded Crab Spider - Xysticus
Lawrence, University of Kansas, Douglas County, Kansas, USA
May 11, 2007
Caught this by sweeping. It's not the crispest image, but since only one exists in the guide, it'll be a nice addition.

It
looks like it.

This
is an adult male crab spider.
There are 67 Xysticus species in NA.
I believe the three species on the guide are misidentifications and should be moved to genus or family.
Check out the Xysticus info page and Canadian Arachnology.

So is it a Xystichus?
Is it a Xystichus?? Iwas excited, now I'm sad :-(
