these photos were taken at Devil's Den, right past the vista.

 
Great
place. I remember black rat snakes, water snakes, copperheads near the stone walk adjacent to the lake, and fishing for snapping turtles when I was a kid. Good times.
If you get a chance, check out the Westport Nature Center.

 
Oh yeah?
Well i've seen nothing of the sort there, except for an eastern milksnake. Ratsnakes are now rare in ffld county, and copperheads are apparently absent. How long ago was this?
