Sapodilla Borer Moth - Banisia myrsusalis

Sapodilla Borer Moth - Banisia myrsusalis
n.w. Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
July 9, 2015
Size: FW 10mm; WS 23mm.
This distinctive specimen arrived early in the morning (1 a.m.) at a blacklight on my back porch. This apparently provides a 2nd Texas photograph of the species. I was quite surprised when I looked through all the plates on MPG--focued on the "Texas" region--and did not find this species. I returned through the plates and found it in the Thyrididae, but MPG only shows Florida records. Central Texas has had very gusty S winds for a few days.
