Identification
Body lacking erect setae, exept for some above eyes ("eyebrows"), covered with dark and greyish scales, the latter condensed into 3 indistinct bands on pronotum and a conspicous spot on base of elytra near shoulder. Remainder of elytra +/- mottled.
Range
native to w. Palaearctic (to w.Siberia), introduced and now widespread in NA (north to 55°N)
