Sphinx Moth - Eumorpha pandorus

Sphinx Moth - Eumorpha pandorus
Point Pleasant Boro, Ocean County, New Jersey, USA
September 16, 2014
Size: 1.5 inch body length
Not sure if male or female. Perhaps someone can help. After the photo was taken, I carefully pried it off the screen, and set it on a tall blade of grass. The tools I used were a soft bird feather onto a facial tissue. It was truly an honor to see this beautiful creature from the topside.
