Globular Springtail - Deuterosminthurus nonfasciatus

Globular Springtail - Deuterosminthurus nonfasciatus
Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA
May 15, 2007
Size: ~1+ mm
Bourletiella arvalis?

Moved

Could be, but...
from the yellowish nearctic Bourletiella sensu lato, Deuterosminthurus nonfasciatus is easily recognised by the large number of subsegmentations of the 4th antennal segments: 12 to 15. Although this subsegmentation cannot be seen in this picture, the 4th antennal segment is quite long, suggesting at least there are many subsegments.
