Large Copper-colored Bald-faced

Large Copper-colored Bald-faced "Hornet" Nest - Dolichovespula maculata
Michigan, USA
Size: 40" in circumference
This beautiful nest is part of my own personal collection. As you can see, this is a perfect example that not all bald-faced hornet nests are the typical grey color. The photo clearly shows this nest is an atypical copper color. Awesome! The unusual color reminds me of a European hornet nest.
