Tumbling Flower Beetles ID - Mordellistena masoni
Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
July 2, 2015
Size: 5-6 mm
This congregation of Tumbling Flower Beetles was nicely sharing Rosa virginiana flower with sweat bee (9:34 am EDT). First time I noticed these in my garden. Don't know if possible to ID these beetles from photos. They remind me of horseshoe crabs. Rather prehistoric looking.

Moved

masoni
the spots between the vita on several of these beetles say masoni vs. laturata.

Nice gathering!
