black and white banded ichneumon - female

black and white banded ichneumon - Female
Albion, Calhoun County, Michigan, USA
July 19, 2015
This beautiful ichneumon was on my shop outside wall this morning. It was running about crazily. Maybe it was the sight of a small spider - who knows?

I looked in your database and found three fairly similar ones: Cryptanura septentrionalis, Messatoporus discoidalis, and Lymeon orbus. None of these occur in Michigan although they do in the neighboring states.

Can you help me identify this specimen? Thanks in advance.

Moved from Ichneumonid Wasps. If I'm seeing the hind coxae right, Baryceros may be a possibility.

Thanks Jonathan!
