Rock Bugs - Patapius spinosus

Rock Bugs - Patapius spinosus
Triunfo Creek Park, Los Angeles County, California, USA
July 21, 2015
Size: 3mm
These bristly bugs live under rocks apparently in damper regions of the park. They scatter so quickly though when I tip the rocks over so this is my best pic I'm afraid.

Hope to box one in future so I can get closer pics in a controlled environment.

Neat, thanks
Too bad it is not native but still an awesome bug.

can't agree more, amazing bug
good to have a live pic of it, for a change; thanks, James

Welcome
I can get much closer pics if they stay still, will revisit location.
