ID Check: something like Acanalonia bivittata nymph? - Acanalonia conica

Or should I say "larva"?

Again, just double-checking my best guess.

Moved
Moved from Acanalonia.

hope someone confirms species
Moved from ID Request.

it looks like in the current English usage the term 'larva' is reserved in the hexapod world for holometabolous insects only

No longer for certain aquatic immatures and whiteflies?
Does that mean "larva" is no longer an appropriate term for immatures of Odonata, Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, or Aleyrodidae?

larva vs. nymph
That would be my understanding. Come to think of it, several years back I went to a 'nymph fest' which was a workshop on ID'ing the aquatic stages of the Odonate life cycle.

Thanks.
Thanks for the grammatical update. I corrected my mis-speller of the genus. Perhaps "Acanalonia sp." is as far as I will worry about getting with these.
