how determined?
How is E. lorata distinguished from E. pudens? Their ranges apparently overlap in the west.

ID
E. lorata seems to be more in the Cascades west while E. pudens is more Rocky Mts east. E. pudens usually has more pink in the basal, median, and apical patches according to Miller & Hammond. There are 40 records for E. lorata and 1 for E. pudens in the Oregon State University database.

Thanks, John
That's good info to know.
