Moved from Hololepta aequalis. This has the dimples on the shoulders like the one Jeff posted, and the elytral striations seem to be the length of the elytra.

 
H. aequalis
Hi Tom,

I downloaded the full-size dorsal habitus image and played around with it in Photoshop (Image -> Adjustments -> Curves). This individual does not have a complete dorsal elytral stria. Another character for distinguishing H. lucida from H. aequalis is the prosternal apex. It is rounded in H. lucida and emarginate in H. aequalis. This is definitely emarginate.

The sulci in the anterior corners of the pronotum are present in the males of both species.

I guess I should have left it the way it originally was. Thanks for explaining the differences, and correcting my mistake.
