Size: 1/2"
I found this walking across my wood floor at around 8:00 a.m. this morning. Wasn't sure it was actually some kind of beetle at first, till I looked closely to see the legs! Color was kind of greenish/grey/brown. Only one break in the entire surface -- no edges to wings or anything -- was one hole in the underside (next photo). What is it??

I linked all 3 of the images together, since they're all the same individual.

I would guess this tick came in on a pet, and dropped off when it had as much blood as it could hold. It's harmless for the moment, but might very well lay eggs.
