Looks to be genus Lambdina

Seems that the species are confusingly similar. Some feed on conifers and some on deciduous trees, so that may help if you know.

Geometrid
This was on a Hemlock in an area where last fall I saw many Hemlock Looper Moths (Lambdina fiscellaria) Hodges 6888.
