Mystery green and orange spider -
Araneus

Size: 1 to 1.3 cm
Found having hitched a ride on the van handle. Looked at various guides and image searches with no luck.

Do any of the original images have more pixels?
It would be nice to see more details. We're missing some things like reddish rings on the legs, but we don't see how this can be anything other than gadus with black spots ringed in white and no shoulder humps. Let's see what others think.

Would you say that the center
of the paired spots are red or black. Seems that some Araneus have red spots and others have black spots. Gadus is described as green with reddish cast posteriorly, but we wonder if it couldn't be mostly red, given that the red color often disappears in alcohol.

I looked at the original pic closely, the spots seem to be all black, except for the top one, which has a more reddish tinge to it...
