Square-headed Wasp Body Scan (ventral) - Liris - female

Square-headed Wasp Body Scan (ventral) - Liris - Female
Tonopah Desert, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA
May 7, 2015
Size: 13mm
These are images of an all-black and nearly hairless Square-headed Wasp, that I believe is a female in the genus Liris. I'm including extra shots of her to show the details of all the body parts and two images in bright sunlight.
Full Size Image: Click Here
Her Thorax & Leg Hairs:
1) - dense, carpeting of various microscopic lengths
2) - mostly dark in color, depending on illumination angles
3) - leg hairs are highly reflective, sometimes resembles silvery felt, in bright sunlight
