This Dragonfly has Brown Wings . I checked the Eastern Amberwinged Dragonfly but this Dragonfly has different markings on the wings and poses much differently.

It's an Eastern Amberwing, Florida style
This is a female Eastern Amberwing, Perithemis tenera. The further south you go, particularly in Florida, the more dark brown the wings contain. (So says Dunkle in his guide to Dragonflies of Florida and the Bahamas. I've never had the chance to photograph dragonflies in Florida myself.)

The only small mottled dragon
The only small mottled dragonfly like this I know of in Florida is a female Amberwing. Many dragonflies hold their bodies up like this to avoid direct rays from the sun and overheating. The amberwings go a little further and also curve their bodies during courtship.
