Uhler's Water Bug
moved from ID Request to new species page

according to U. of Florida page
showing photos and giving a key to Belostomatidae here, the distinctly banded legs identify this as Lethocerus uhleri. Also, you can see in the dorsal photo that the interocular space on this specimen is noticeably less than the width of an eye, another characteristic of L. uhleri.

Bug
I may be wrong but I believe this is the giant water bug (Belastoma americanum)
