cool bug... must be in this tribe
...and now i'm pretty sure it's an
Anthonomus
--and a distinctive one, too (robust rostrum, plump body, uniform vestiture of broad scales...)
it seems that all the anthonomines listed for ON & MB in

can be ruled out, which makes it all the more intriguing
dying to know the name
