I still have doubts about this one

 
I do too...
the large round eyespots are more like A. zunnianus. Examination of the underside helpful; ventral pubscence in A. lusciosus is completely white, while in A. zunnianus, the ventral pubscence is black and white.

Casari's (1996) revision of Alaus only lists A. texanus from Phoenix (but doesnt mean it cannot occur elsewhere in the state).
