Neoscona crucifera
Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana, USA

Size: 1cm
Can anyone ID this Spider. Found on a web in a bush in Evansville, IN. Seems to have been hurt at some point as its has lost a few legs.

I'd say crucifera ...
I look at the markings on on the anterior abdomen, they're bigger blobs on N. arabesca and bright white on N. domiciliorum.

We were thinking crucifera
based on the short tan spines on the legs and the overall dull pattern, but it is always a tough call, made tougher by a hurt specimen. But others may have a firmer grip on the ID. Let's wait to see what Lynette or Laura or Chad or others say
