Assassin Bug- Beige and Black - Fitchia aptera

Assassin Bug- Beige and Black - Fitchia aptera
Barrie, Simco, Ontario, Canada
December 31, 1969
Size: 10 to 15mm
I believe this belongs to the assassin bug family (Reduviidae), but the species can only guess may be Fitchia aptera (Stephan Marshalls' Insects-Their Natural History and Diversity, 2006, pp120). Can anyone confirm?
This was found on the sand path in a local conservation area and it was having great difficulty moving around in the loose sand.

I would agree.
I tend to agree with your identification. Nice find! I haven't personally collected this wingless species.
