Identification
collum noun - the neck; the constricted posterior part of a pedunculate head, by which it connects to the trunk (thorax). It includes the nucha, gula, and myoglyphides.
In insects, the collum is typically difficult to see, usually covered by the head and thorax.
In millipedes, at least, collum corresponds to the first legless segment behind the head:
