i think it's serrulatus

 
I agree...
because the dark markings meet across the suture, whereas in flexuosus, the suture is pale from the scutellar spot to about two-thirds down.

 
Variety
I have to learn how to upload to this site, but I have a picture of a Beatle taken in Mercer, WI that is very similar. The higher speckles only shows in the center of the bug (like a stipe)..
