Mosquito 2 - Ochlerotatus communis - female

Mosquito 2 - Ochlerotatus communis - Female
NNW of Pagosa Springs, Hindsdale County, Colorado, USA
May 28, 2007
Size: ~1 CM
I think this is the same species as I submitted yesterday. There is still a lot of snowmelt up here, which always makes me think Aedes, but this reminds me of some images of Culiseta I see here on bugguide. (It also looks like some Aedes vexans images) I'm hoping this angle is better for Sean and Omar.

i would go
for ochlerotatus communis on this one
