Size: <1mm
An immature thrips found on the underside of a rose leaf. By far the smallest insect I have photographed, the image made possible by using a 50mm lens stacked on a 300mm macro with a 2X teleconverter. The background was desaturated to remove distracting color aberration (from using cheap optics). I'm pretty certain it is the same type as:

Nice job. That's amazing quality for such a small bug. You can even see the details of the sac-like feet. It would be cool to get more photos of the really small stuff, like springtails and so on.
