Eastern Dobsonfly - Corydalus cornutus - Male
Ocala National Forest gas station, Marion County, Florida, USA

Size: +/- 4"
Got this shot at a little gas station in the middle of Ocala National Forest. If the thing had started flying, and landed on me, I think I probably would have passed out. (After screaming like a little girl)

Eastern Dobsonfly
This is a male Eastern Dobsonfly, Corydalus cornutus. The large mandibles are used for grasping the female during mating.
