We've been to Micanopy!
Love the town. Great used book stores! We were startled to realize when watching Michael J Fox in a movie called Doc Hollywood a long time ago that we were looking at downtown Micanopy. Was the type specimen found there? Or were they both named for something else all together.

I remember that movie.
The type was collected in Gainesville, FL. Not sure of the etymology.
