At Xylem Acres on the ground below Black Cottonwood (Populus trichocarpa), a host plant. Apparently a final instar en route to a pupation site. Temporarily placed on nearby split Black Cottonwood log to photograph. Note yellow-rimmed blue false-eye with a blue mark separating false-eye from the more dorsal yellow mark.
