Possibly Hypsopygia binodulalis - Hypsopygia

Possibly Hypsopygia binodulalis - Hypsopygia
London, Laurel County, Kentucky, USA
September 19, 2015
will say semi translucent wings but the flash popped hard. See two bands, AM is pretty straight but the PM seems to wander up the Median Line area, but that could a third line, no spots or other markings that I can see on the wings. Coast seems solid, non translucent. I just can't find them.

Hard to tell--
This looks as if it could turn out to be 5530 Hypsopygia binodulalis if the actual wing colors and pattern were revealed better.

I think you are right
I've looked through the Genus just to be sure but H. binodulalis is certainly lighter and it would have been easy for the flash it hit them very hard. Markings do seem to match up pretty well.
