Comparision with the similiar Libellula needhami: Note the clean diagonal separation of the pale area of the thorax from the more forward dark brown area. On L. needhami the pale area would extend into the lower part of the brown area.
Also note the black hind tibia. On L. needhami the hind tibia is brown.
